When I sort a column, any column, it only includes the first 229 of my cells, and the rest of the spreadsheet does not get included. Have I accidentally set up a limited range? If so, how do I fix that so all cells get included in the sort?

Guess:
1. You only highlight till row 229 and sort.
2. There is new empty row after 229.

And if you sort the whole column (click in the column Letter) and after that do the sort?

There are no empty rows.
I have tried to choose only that column, by selecting the letter designator at the top, and same result.
I have also tried selecting the entire spreadsheet, and same result.
It does the same thing no matter which column I select.

Yes, I will do that, as soon as I get back to that computer. I am on a different computer while traveling for work.
In the mean time, if anyone else has suggestions, I'm listening. I would appreciate any/all help.

What about setting a "range" - does that only work for printing, or does that apply for sorting too? Do you think I might have set a range on accident?

Another guess:
1. Your same col data have different format.
2. Please use COUNTBLANK(range), if there is any blank cell. It will affect too.
BTW, a sample spreadsheets is the best.
Hi Judes, is your problem solve?
Are all the cell contents in the same format? All text or all numeric? excel will sort both at the same time, but if you have numbers that are actually text, they may get sorted differently

2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
