Hi,
My company has a product which produces reports as .xls spreadsheets. It has over a dozen tabs, most of which are hidden by default and are used to calculate values on the non-hidden tabs.
When downloading a report, almost all cells display #VALUE errors,on all tabs. However, backtracking to the original cells, I can click in the edit bar and then hit Tab/Enter to change cells, and the correct value appears in the cell, replacing the #VALUE error.
An example: A cell is supposed to display a project start date.
What is seen in the cell initially: [CP_STARTDATE]
What is seen in the edit bar: =Projection!$B$19 (Projection being one of the hidden tabs)
After clicking in the bar and then hitting Tab, the cell displays the date from cell B19 of the Projection tab: 1-Oct-2014
This occurs on two computers, mine and a colleague's (both new computers - July); everyone else can see the reports normally.
Any ideas as to what triggers this? Using Excel 2010, and I have macros enabled and most security settings disabled.
I'm stumped as to the cause. Reports from this product are the only instance where this issue occurs. Please let me know if there is any more info I should provide.
