I am new to this but have regularly read in various forums how to solve some of my excel problems but this is more difficult to find an answer.
I have completed a series of linked workbooks on a work computer to calculate various food costings, food stocks, waste logs etc.
the food stock workbook and the food waste workbook gathers a lot of base information from the food costing workbook. if the food costing workbook changes its name or place on the hardrive, the foodstock workbook and the food waste workbook will not be able to find the information.
The style of formula I am using is
=IF(ISERROR('S:\Chef\COSTS\Food costing\[Completed food costing sheet.xlsx]mastersheet'!C18),"",('S:\Chef\COSTS\Food costing\[Completed food costing sheet.xlsx]mastersheet'!C18))

Is it possible to create a general link so if the food costing workbook changes name or place on the hardrive, that the formula can still find the appropriate information from the food costing workbook
