Hi all, I have very limited or say no knowledge about statistics but am good with graphs, charts, pivots and in general things we do in excel. However I would like to explore myself in the world of statistics. Need suggestions on book which can be used to learn statistics in broader sense. I also intent to get deeper using the same in R. When I wanted to learn statistics, I went to the local second hand store and readily found (being in a college town) a cheap copy of one of Ott and Mendenhall's introduction to Statistics textbooks.
