Add total of two rows within a column with matching reference numbers

    Hi guys,

I'm new here and was hoping someone could assist me. I'm trying to find a way to work out the total of two or more rows that have the same reference number.

I've attached an example spreadsheet of what I'm trying to achieve:

In column E (heading 'Reference') there appear some reference numbers more than once. When this occurs I'd like the totals from column P (heading 'Entry Amount') to be totalled in a new column at the end (e.g. column T).

So in the example spreadsheet rows 15 and 16 are hightlighted in red with reference number 337347. In column T I'd like to have the total of column P totalled. I'm wondering if someone knows a formula (Vlookup or other) that I can use?

    Thank you guys.

    Your references are invalid

Yeah - What sixth sense said but regardless of that I think this will work.

Assuming the reference numbers are always sorted and there are never more than 2 of them the simple way would be to do it like this

    example%20sheet%201(1).xlsx

But note Column T was already occupied so I popped it in AB
