Having Trouble with Spreadsheet - Populate Sales Worksheet from Stock Worksheet (Retail)

Hi Ladies and Gentlemen,

Can anyone help?

I would like to insert a number (in any row in 'Sale Qty' column C) of the Stock Worksheet in the workbook attached and press 'Enter' which would result in Excel automatically deducting that number from 'Stock Qty' column D and also copy the row (range E to H) into the next available line in the Sales Worksheet (in rows F to I). The original number inserted in the 'Sale Qty' column C would then need to clear ready for the next sales input in that row or any other row - in other words we would need to be able to make multiple inserts to any row as many times as required in Column C.

The 'Stock Qty' would therefore deplete as more sales are input but it would also need to have the flexibility to update as stock is ordered.

Any ideas for a formula rather than VBA or other complicated stuff???

For a solution without VBA or macros, you will need to create tables.

I've created a new sheet called "Stock Change". In it, you update any addition or subtraction of your stock. Remember if it is subtraction, you place a minus sign(-) in the cell D3.

On the sheet "Stock List", I've changed the second column to " On hand" showing you the inventory left.

Take note, if you have more items under the first column, do let me know. As this solution does not include scenarios where you have new items.

Many thanks for your helpful post. Sorry for delay in replying due to our holiday.

Unfortunately, we tried your suggestion in the shop but it isn't really working very well. If this equation can't be done as a formula, would you prefer to do it as a VBA?
