You could record a macro to set the column widths.
Simplest way is to start the macro recorder and record a macro using the name "Auto_Open"
then record yourself setting the column widths.
Stop the recorder.
The macro will run when the workbook is opened and will reset the widths.
Do you have a pivot table or some other data connection or active content? Pivot Tables have an option to auto adjust column widths.
How are you setting the column widths?
I'm setting them by dragging them.
Are you emailing the file to the other terminal?
I've noticed when opening a file from Outlook, it will sometimes open a cached/temp version of the file rather than the updated version. If you are opening it from Outlook, try saving it to the desktop or some other location and open it from there.
