conditional formatting

please can some one help!!!

if cell in range b:1 to J:1 has a date equal to or greater than date in cell a:1 then red text

I need this to do it on every row!!!!

1. select cell B1, click Conditional Formatting/Manage Rules
2. click New Rule/Use formula
3. add this formula =B2>=$A$1
4. add the necessary text formatting
5. while cell B1 is selected, click on Format Painter, then apply the formatting to all other cells needed; this will copy the CF rule
