    Connection refreshed?

I have an excel file which has link to another external excel file via OLE connection. The data is linked in. Say the external excel file is named A while the local excel file is B. If every morning A is overwritten with new contents but the filename remains same, will B automatically update and refresh its contents accordingly? Is this refreshing triggered when B is opened?
