Pivot Tables - "Report Filter": Adding 'Greater than' and 'Less than' to report filter

The problem I have is that the Report Filter function doesn't seem to allow using 'Greater than' or 'Less than' filter functions.

I have a few pivot tables that include two date fields "Date From" and "Date To" (format: dd/mm/yyyy). The dates are weeks (ei. 29/09/2014, 06/10/2014, 13/10/2014… etc.). I have set them up in such a way that the "Date From" and "Date To" fields are set as
"Report Filters" in the pivot table.

An example of this would be if IU I or users would like to see the data for the last 2 weeks instead of all 26 weeks that are currently available (or 3 weeks, 5 weeks, 15 weeks.., as we select in the filter)
How can I set up the Report filters to do the two following weeks for example:
- "Date From" filter: >= 29/09/2014 (in words: greater than or equal to this date)
- "Date To" filter: <= 13/10/2014 (in words: smaller or equal to this date).

It seems like it's something that many people would also want to do but I can barely find anything on this online. Do you have any idea how to do this?

If you put the dates and columns, it will allow you to filter between certain dates.

What do you mean? Do you mean moving the date fields to the "Column Label" instead of the "Report filter" in the pivot table?

I tried this but it doesn't seem to work because it doesn't compile all the data for the indicated period but it rather just breaks it down by the individual weeks within the indicated period.
I need the data to be summarized for the entire period.

Thoughts?

There may be other ways to go about this, but it's tough without seeing how the data table is organized. Can you upload a sanitized sample file?

Years later, trying to figure this out as well. I have a sheet with sports stats so thousands upon thousands of explicit values I want to analyze by explicit outcome (team won: yes or no). If I end up figuring this out, I'll follow up...
