Excel report prepration

Legends,
I am doing analysis for my work and had decided to use excel to easy my work.
I am using 2007 office.
I tired using Pivot table but not able to understand how that works

My Requirement
in Column A -- I have list of 100 companies
in Column B -- I have list of parameters to be analysed
in next col C-K -- I have years list that will hold the results

I want something like>
Column A should expand all items of Column B and C-K (when clicked)
whenever I expand each company from Column A, Items from B-K should display.

How is that possible in excel, pls help

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Perhaps you can just use a filter:

But filters applies to all corresponding rows.
if i select company "bbb" it displays only corresponding "filtered text" of column B.
While i want entire text of column "B"

I tried put a combo box in "A" column, but don't know how to import values in that drop down box.

If you don't want the corresponding values in columns B to K when clicking a value in column A, I don't understand at all what you are really wanting as there would be no point in making a selection in column A.

I suggest you give an example on your worksheet of what you are starting with and what you expect to happen....a manual mock-up would do the trick.

Ok, as per attached sheet, i have the requirement to compare each company (100 in total) with same parameters listed in Col "B" and will manually enter values in col C-K
now, either I prepare 100 sheets, one for each company
or using excel features, how can i do that in one or 2 sheets.

Using only 1 or 2 worksheets, it can possibly be done using named ranges. The ranges would be one under the other and given a name that could then be called up with a hyperlink.

The second file's hyperlink goes to the top of the company chosen.
