    Default Open View "All Files"

    It may be a small thing but I thought I'd ask. I commonly work with CSV files and I always have to change the open view from Excel Files to All Files when attempting to open a folder to look for files. is there any way to set the default open view to "All Files"? Thanks - Joel

    Excel 2003
    1.On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Transition tab.
    2.In the Save Excel files as box, click the file format you want.

    I'm on Excel 2010, and in the Options area I don't see anything like a Transition tab.
    Also, this applies to opening files, not saving files. I just want, when I attempt to do File-Open, for it to show All Files and not just Excel Files, which don't include CSV files.

    I tried that link and coded it in VBA but:

    Application.Dialogs(xlDialogOpen).Show Arg1:="*.*"

    apparently doesn't work in Excel 2010. It likely worked in previous versions but Arg1:="*.*" doesn't access all files. I couldn't find good documenation of what Args are possible in 2010, so I'm back to the drawing board. Any other ideas? - Joel
