    Re: formatting a hijri date

    Hi
    Just a quick question;
    When you wrote "...it showed a hijri date according to A1.the problem is the hijri date is one day ahead and it should be 7th.please help."
    Why do you want it to show the 7th

    Perhaps I have misunderstood or made some error, but, doesn't the Gregorian calendar date Friday the 31st of October 2014 equate to Muharram the 8th 1436?

    Regards.

    hijri calendar is different by countries according to moon movement in counting days.some nation would count it one day ahead, while other one day before.

    Re: formatting a hijri date

    Hi

    I think I have come up with a solution to your problem...

    I made two helper (I4 and I6) cells each holding a Text version of an aspect of Hijri date.

    Have a look at the value in H5, I think it looks correct, the date in A1 can be changed by altering the value in A3.

    Regards.
