Hey guys,
I have an excel file which has thousands of columns. I need to copy each column data right next to it. Is there a way to automate this process in Excel?
Tnx

Hi, welcome to the forum
wow, you already have "thousands" of columns and you want to double that?? Even trying to navigate through a few hundred columns would be a nightmare, let alone thousands.
What on earth are you doing/do you have that requires that many columns - and have you considered swinging your data round to make your columns, rows?
How many rows do you have?
Just FYI, you can only have a max of 16384 columns in excel
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

Thank you Ford for prompt reply,
The file includes results of a genetic experiment. It includes 95 rows and about two thousands columns so even when it is duplicated, it solitude be alright regarding excel column limit. I am afraid I haven't used VBA codes at all.
Cheers

OK, would it make sense to transpose that table? It is easier to work with more rows than with more columns
No, unfortunately it doesn't make sense.
Can you upload a workbook with a small representative sample showing what you are starting with and what you want as a result. I am not clear as to the meaning of "I need to copy each column data right next to it." So, if you include a few columns with dummy data and what you want it might be easier to help you out.
General instructions to upload a file.
Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.
Remember to desensitize the data.
Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.
