Hiding Form Controls - Help Needed

    Hi All,

I've written a macro to hide certain columns based on cell values (see my previous post), and each column has an option button form control in it tied to a cell in another worksheet within the same workbook. However, when the columns are hidden, the option buttons stay put. I've tried to alter the properties of the control, however the "Move and Size with Cells" option is greyed out i.e. not able to be selected.

There are countless threads that address this problem but I haven't found anything that works for a dynamic solution. This file will be used multiple times, with a different set of columns being hidden each time. Thus, I did not believe that a one-time VBA solution would fit my needs.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!

    Best,

    Scott

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

    Hi Sixthsense,

I've attached an example file. The form controls are on Sheet1, in cells D5 and E5. They are both linked to C4 on Sheet2. I would like to hide Column E on Sheet1 and have the form control hide along with it. Right now if I hide Column E the form control in E5 just stays put.

Is this enough information to go on? Thanks for your help!

    Best,

    Scott

    Update - Solution found!

See this link for an actual solution: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...en-hiding-rows

When you right-click on the control to format the properties, the option to Move-size with cells is greyed out. However, when you access it through the Quick access toolbar (Drawing Tools --> Format-->Size-->More [clicking the arrow in the lower right corner of the Size section]) the Move-Size button is selectable!

    Send this to the world!

    Best,

    Scott
