Transferring of file to another computer

I am transferring a workbook from one computer to another. I have on that workbook macros, pictures, and sounds totaling up to 11,270 KB. When I transferred it over to the other computer. My checkboxes that hide and unhide my columns is not hiding or unhiding. When I try to select it, it does nothing. Any answers for this. Like the homeless say Anything helps lol.

Probably need to enable VBA and macros on the destination machine.

Crazy thing about it all the sounds, macros work except the check box, they don't hide and unhide my columns.

You may have to, in addition to enabling macros, copy the contents of C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\PERSONAL.XLSB to your new computer.

The instructions found here may help you:

Re: Transferring of file to another computer

I found out the issue is was a file that was added to the Microsoft update. When updated, it filed the MSForms.exd
So I searched it on the C:\ file and deleted it. Then it works fine.

The issue was I transferred my file to another computer but noticed when I tried to use checkboxes for macros it did not hide or unhide my columns. all my other stuff was working the sound macros, and hyperlinks. The macro checkboxes was not working so I tried to delete put a new activex checkbox but it would not let me. So I tried adding a command button, scroll, and etc. It would not work. So I looked on the internet and found this website. So it told me to delete the file.

Re: Transferring of file to another computer

I hope that you have updated Windows since that botched update. I had the same problem (forgot about it) and deleted the same file and ended up having to wipe out my computer and install a recent image. That file was related to active-x and deleting it caused me a whole heap of trouble...hope you don't run into any trouble.

If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED. Thanks.
