Date + Time taks on to text when typed into cell.

This is really simple, I think. I am tracking a project in excel, and the spreadsheet is shared amungst 10 people. When someone finishes a step, they put in thier initials.

I would like the date + time to be added into the cell when they put thier initials. For example if I put "AA" in the cell, I want "/29DEC2014 1500" to be automatically tacked on.

I am not sure if this is done with a formula, macro or VB script. I am not even sure if it is possible to do within the same same cell, but like a dollar sign gets added to numbers if a currency format is selected, so can what I wrote above (I guess).

    Thanks,

    Abdu

So if someone types AA into cell A1, and then hits ENTER, cell A1 will contain AA/29DEC2014 1500?

Yes - whatever the date and time so happens to be when he enters AA. The date/time format doesn't matter.

    Possible?
