    Total cloud

    Hello everyone
    I want to Calculate the number of special characters
    I want to have the overall results as spreadsheets attached below.
    I do not know what formula to use, anyone knows please help me.
    Note: do not use extra column to calculate

    I completely forgot about you. Sorry... This solution doesn't like the ? symbols. Can you work around that limitation

    Your formula is resolved partial results.
    With the number plus the character "?" or "/" do not know how to do it?

    I don't see any /s in your example. In the case of ?, in your example it was INSTEAD of a number, rather than WITH a number. Can they not simply be deleted?

    Try it like this

    =SUMPRODUCT((0+SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(B2:B11,"*",""),"?",0),"/","")))

    It is true that in my example there is no "/".
    I mean if instead
    "10 *" = "/" or "?" What is the formula used?
