How to insert pictures into cells

Hi,
I need to produce a full page of pictures, arranged in a table form - say in 10 rows, 5 in a row.
Naturally I try Excel, but nither a simple cut & past nor 'Insert pic from file' (in a Text Box) helps. The pics stays above the cells, not in them. I need the pics to obey the table properties, eg to expand, move, delete etc of the cell or of a line/column of cells.
I'd prefer a simple solution if possible but if the answer requires Macros/VBA i'd need the exact code (and how to insert it) as I'm not familiar with programming.

Using word would be much easier, draw a table and stick the pictures in. Images don't work like that in Excel, they sit "above" the cells on a different layer
