Need help to find the average of a range between two cells in a different column.

Need help to find the average of a range between two cells. So for example if I looked up 2 dates "1/23/2015" and "2/5/2015" it would find the average of the calories cells in-between. Not sure how to do this. Any help will be greatly appreciated. The picture below is the example and I attached a worksheet. Thanks in advance

Averageifs is your friend - average of column F when column A is greater than or equal to "from" date and less than or equal to "to" date; see attached file.
