Looking up Duplicate Values

Hi - I'm new to this and I have this idea in my head that I'm not sure whether is possible or not.

I have 6 or so workbooks that have information entered on for different people. What I want to do is have a main spreadsheet that shows the name of anyone who has information on 2 or more of the other 6 workbooks... All the names will be in the same columns on the workbooks.

So for example, Jo Bloggs name is on 3 of the workbooks so the main workbook will flag his name.

Is this possible at all???

You might be able to use something like this in columns B to G (Six workbooks) to see if the value in A2 of the main workbook is in the others. All workbooks would have to be open at the same time.

Change the File1 to whatever the file names really are and fill down. If the name in column A is in the other workbooks in the range you specify, then a count is made of how many times. You can then have a formula in say column H to sum how many times the name occurs in the other workbooks.
