Need help with sorting and making multiple rows into column.

I've used excel for basics before, but I'm trying to sort through my PayPal transactions so I can do taxes on my eBay sales.


I have tried a few different activity formats but I believe now I found the easiest one to sort. So far I was able to get a list of every incoming Transaction. Each transaction shows up in colum A., but they take up 4 rows a piece.

It it is listed like so:
A
1. eBay. - "Buyers Name" - Payment
2. Date
3. Total amount in ($)
4. eBay - "Buyers Name" - Payment
5. Shipping (or something)

Then repeats next one like in same 5 row format but continues with 6,7,8,9,10 and another qq, 12,1314,15 ect.......

In Microsoft Word I was able to remove all of the 5th ones about Shipping because they had the same exact words and I used the Find and replace button to "Remove all".

So now I have 4 Rows. Row 1 and 4 are identical, but for every set of transactions the "Buyers Name" is different, so I cannot mass delete duplicate because only the first and last word in that row are the same. I can remove all of the duplicates in Excel leaving only one of them but when I remove duplicates it deletes the duplicate Dates as well, which throws off the every 4 is a transaction is a pattern.

I want to make Row 1, and Row 2, and Row 3 all in one row, Preferably in 3 column, so I can use a Total function when I'm finished.

Can anyone help me mass sort these out? Like find a way to make row of 4 be labeled 1,2,3,4, 1,2,3,4 ect so I can filter them out? Or does anyone know how I can seperate
these out in any other way?

I hope I described what I'm trying to do and someone can help, because I'm also going to have to do this 2 more times, for Purchases and Refunds.

I cannot find an easier way to do this at all when I tried a complete transaction list it was a disaster and they had
Multiple, upto 4 transactions per Sale with wield category and both positive and negative amounts....

First use paste Transpose from special paste options to change the rows into columns. Then use concatenate to join the rows you desire to.

Im sorry it's a ramble and too confusing to understand. I will post a screen shot with markings on it to explain what I'm trying to do. Then I'll show you with the first one what I want it to look like and then we will see if any of you can help out. Thank you all so much. Give me one minute to figure out how to do this.

I have made this in Paint. It explains what i want to do in how i think it needs done. But basically it shows you what i need to do.... I just dont know how to do it with out doing about 2000 of them individually. Thank you for any help!

How do i post a work book? Im not sure how to do that. I have atleast two different ones to do.
I can do the work if someone can tell me how to do it, or i could post the excel documents if it would be easier for someone to just do it instead of explaining it.

I have them all numbered, can anyone help with a macro for this:

Search column A for rows with "2" and if found, move (copy and paste) column B to column C (all in same row)
and also
Search column A for rows with "4" and if found, move Column B (copy and paste) to column D (all in same row)
and
Search column A for "3" and delete entire row.

Then i need to need to shift every cell UP to fill in all blanks.

That will fix everything.

Does anyone know how to do that?

I believe I am able to complify this request in terms of explaining it better and trying this alternative method...


Simply need every 4 rows to be transposed into 4 columns.

Copy and paste works. But that's a one at a time process. I need a way to complete a whole sheet worth. I have a few more to do after this and it's been days I been stuck. I need a friendly gesture of a favor! Please.
