Equal Sum Formulas

is there a way to make this sample show the real value instead of ##### or just the word value when a zero is one of the numbers.

=SUM(B4+C4+D4)/A4
=sum(0+4+3)/12

but if you use a 1 instead of zero, which would be the wrong answer, it will show the percent value. if there a way to make this formula

work without making your column width a zillion. every time a zero is one of the numbers in my entire chart I can not get a real answer.

columns A to E are in general format. columns F to H are in percentage format with zero decimal places.
is there a way to fix this?

I think the problem is that the 0 in B$ was formatted as text,
Your formula worked when I deleted it and put a zero in the cell.
