I am trying to solve for the quadratic equation in cell D40 with the unknown variable in cell D38 (where I gave an arbitrary number 10 here).
This picture is shown below.
I tried using solver add in software and the goal seek function in what-if analysis button but none of them worked to give out the desired two solutions.
I would greatly appreciate if I could get help on resolving this problem.

Have you considered solving it algebraically and then using the quadratic formula?

I think you mean solving without using excel or so. But whatever it is, I need to use an automatic solver system to build a frame for generalization purpose.
Algebra is as general as it gets.
Row\Col E38: =($D$35-D38)*($E$36-D38) - $E$35*$D$36

Besides, one of the answer 9.7816E-07 is correct but the other answer -1.5107*10^(-10) seems incorrect
which should be something like -1.87607*10^(-10).

Oh, I am sorry. So you mean you just used the quadratic solution form for getting the answer.
