I just want to paste from a range of unlocked cells to another range of unlocked cells on protected worksheet. Is this possible at all ?

In a protected sheet you'll be able to select and paste only if the protection allows you to Select unlocked cells
Sorry breakingwaves, all is not what it seems. After further testing and investigation, I discovered that
I unintentionally omitted some useful information from the problem description.
1. There are three elements to this problem, a) worksheet protection with some cells unlocked for user input,
b) a "Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)" macro to manipulate cells in another
worksheet when an unlocked cell is selected, and c) the standard copy of one unlocked cell to another
unlocked cell.
2. With (a) and (b) in place as described above, only the copy (Ctrl+C or right-click followed by clicking "Copy")
seems to function properly but the paste (Ctrl+V or right-click shows greyed-out "Paste") does not function.
3. If thw worksheet is unprotected OR the "Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)" macro is
removed, Copy and Paste of the unlocked cells functions as expected. But the combination seems to be causing
the problem
Here is a copy of the spreadsheet. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated (I'm really scratching my head over this)
This issue has turned out to be specious. breakingwaves is absolutely correct. Thanks much.
After starting over with a fresh spreadsheet, everything worked. Apparently, I had inadvertently
tripped myself up by creating a "Fourth" element to the situation that I haven't yet identified.
Thanks again to breakingwaves and anyone else who spent any time on this thread.
