how to get average of coulomb that gets longer

I have a spread sheet that is built automatically using a macro,,,,
I would like row "2" of each column to show the running average of the column as the spread sheet grows in row's

the macro is set to only fill 5000 rows so I've tried =AVERAGE (C3:C5000) but it does not work,,,, i assume this is because at this time only 50 rows contain numbers

    cheers

In what way does =AVERAGE(C3:C500) not work?? What is in the "empty" cells?

Re: how to get average of coulomb that gets longer

    when I put =AVERAGE(C3:C5000) in cell C2 it show's "#value!"
the empty cells "C51 to C5000" are blank as the macro has not yet filled them

    cheer's

Can you attach your worksheet? Remove anything confidential first.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.
