Hello everyone! I am an IT instructor at a private school and I use excel 2010 for tracking students grades. I am amazed at the power and capabilities of excel. Unfortunately I feel like a noob when it comes to excel. There are so many things I know it can do but I don't have a clue as to how to talk to excel to get it to do what I want. Well I guess I have a clue else I wouldn't think excel could do these things.

My first question, and I did spend some time searching the web and this forum, is that I would like to save the custom conditional formats that I set up so that they may show up in the drop down list when I set up the criteria. For example I would like to see one of my creations in the same list as 'fill with dark red text and light red background' and the others. I guess I would also be happy to set up a macro if needed but I am not well versed in that procedure but am willing to learn. Mostly what I want to set up are color sets and fill styles with patterns and gradients.
