    Unhappy Not all dates are recognized as a date by Excel (Export from a system)

    Dear,

    I've exported a +- 400 rows out of a system with an date column.
    Somehow, not all dates are exported the same way, some are recognized as dates, others not.

    I would like to make a formula to fix these unrecognized ones or understand why these dates are not recognized, I need them to be recognized to be able to work/filter with.

    Sample file of dates.xlsx

    Hope you guys can help me out by looking into the sample file.

    THank you in advance

    Regards
    Peter

    1) Highlight the column
    2) Data Tab on ribbon --> Text to Columns
    3) Delimited With --> Next --> Next
    4) Select the Date button and format based on the dropdown selection box
    5) Finish

    Dear Mcmahobt,

    Thank you for replying, I've tried your solution but it does not convert the date fields into recognized dates.
    The dates below show which are the recognized dates(GREEN) and which are not (RED)

    I'm not sure what you mean by this. All the records in the sample workbook you provided are converted to dates when following the steps I previously provided and can be manipulated as such.

    This can be confirmed by checking whether each entry is stored as text or a number, the latter with which Excel stores time as.
