    Adding check box selectors

I'm not an Excel guru, just a business person who uses it in its most basic form. I have a large workbook with multiple rows and columns. I'm using it as a pricing and quoting tool. I would like to add a selector check box next to each row so that I can dynamically include or exclude that row from the overall calculations that are being produced. That way I can work with one master workbook and save new versions with the appropriate row selections.

    How can I do that?

    Thanks!

    Welcome to the board.

It would be far easier to just enter an x (or a 1, or anything) in the rows of interest, and then autofilter.

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought of that approach, but I have categorized the rows in a way that using auto filtering will not work. I need to keep the categories intact for the rows.

You could duplicate the categories in each row so that autofiltering does work. That would be a better design.
