Totaling values from a drop down list

I am creating a spreadsheet for totaling T-shirt orders I am taking. In one column I have a drop down list where I can select the size of the shirt being ordered. What I would like to be able to do it to have the shirts total on another worksheet (or on the side of the current worksheet) so that I know how many of each size has been ordered

i.e. When I put in a new name and select the size it will automatically update the total number of that size that has been ordered.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

It would be easier to see your sheet....but from just what you posted, I would insert a table on another sheet with 3 columns:
A B C
tshirt ordered size countifs

Then I would use a COUNTIFS function in column C to find all of the tshirt listed in A and size listed in B.

I'm not the expert that a lot of people on this forum are, in fact I'm just killing time waiting for someone to help me with my own problem, but if it were me I would use a COUNTIF formula to tabulate how many of each size had been ordered, that way if you change the size with the drop down menu, the formula will automatically update...
