    Totaling Quatnities with drop-down list.

Hello All, and Happy Holidays. Below I have attached a sheet for keeping track of the number of cables a person produces per day using Drop-Down list. I would like to have a totals area automatically calculate the corresponding cells. I could use several IF statements, but I think the resident Excel Ninja's on this forum could help with a smarter solution. I started the Totals area in column AF. Thanks in advance.

This code works partially. It only seems to calculate for the First cell on the first day B3:D3.

Have you tried to change the date in upper-left of the result table? try to change to 1/1/2012 and see what happen

OK, so you want to sum for the whole week?

i made a copy of your sheet and moved stuff around a bit. take a look and see if that is something you can work with? your profile indicated 2007 or later so i saved it as .xsls

I appreciate the effort in moving stuff around, but I need the extra spaces incase the worker makes more than two different cables.

then just keep entering the data downwards, it will become an easily-searchable data base. it wont matter what order the data is in. the way I organised it, is more like a database format
