Question Text to Columns is omitting zeros. How do I stop that?

I have a column formatted like so: 34, TEXT, MORE TEXT, YEAR, 0000000236587

I am using Text to Columns in the Data Tools to separate this one column into many columns using the comma as the delimiter. When I do this, it omits all of the zeros from the last number, so in this example instead of getting 0000000236587 I get 236587.

How can I get it to keep the zeros at the beginning of the number?

In step three of the wizard that converts text to columns you will need to click on the column with the numbers and select the 'text' option rather than the 'general' default option

When you go through the "next" windows...
Delimited/next
comma/next
click the last column and check Text
Finish
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
