Hello. After I use control shift down to select a range, how can I go back to the first cell without losing the selected range/

    CTRL+. <---That's CTRL + Period

For a single column or row range, CTRL+. toggles back and forth between the first and last cell.

For a multi-col/row range, CTRL+. moves the activecell clockwise around the corners of the range.

Is that something you can work with?
