Clickable cell that equals a number

    Hello everyone,

I am trying to figure out if I can click a cell and make the value I want to appear.

For example: I click Cell C3 and the number 7 appears; I click Cell C4 the number 6 appears, etc.., rather than having to type the number in every cell? If it isn't possible to click, is it possible to just type X in the cell and the number will appear? I am just looking for a faster way to add things up. Thanks for any help!

Yes it can be done, but you would need an event macro.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
This macro is attached to the Worksheet, not a Macro Module.

Hit Alt+F11, then click on the sheet you need (possibly Sheet1), then paste the macro above

I hope this helps, please let me know!

    Regards,

    David
