We have an excel log where we manually enter project information related to a PDF file that we save in the job folder. We enter several items, but the main 2 items are the job number and PO number. I am going to have a column to the right where I am going to insert a hyperlink to that specific PDF so that others can go into this file, find the specific PO and then just click on the link. While it probably takes less than a minute to do the link we will have 100's of these on a daily basis. Wondering if there is anyway possible when entering the project number and PO number in the log, that it could go and search to our server and find the file based on this information? I don't have any programming experience, and maybe this is far fetched, but worth asking..

The issue is the PDF's are saved in different folders on our G:\ server under each job. The PDF for this PO would be saved in the following directory.

G:\Jobs\11900 - 11999\11912 - Job Name\Purchase Order's\11912-27 cc1203.PDF.

The only items that would be the same no matter the job number would be the bold directories (i.e G:\Jobs and the directory Purchase Order's. After Jobs is a subdirectory that breaks jobs down by 100's. Once we get past job 11999 we would start a new directory called "12000 - 12099" and so on. After this directory is the specific job number and name of the project. We are trying to type the PDF name specifically the same way, but the main part is that the job number and PO number start the PDF file name out.

If this is something that is possible, please let me know of others links that you may have seen, etc.
