    Conditional Formatting

I have conditionally formatted a spreadsheet that I use where I copy a row from one sheet and paste it to another sheet. Both sheets are conditionally formatted the same; however when I paste the row into the working sheet, it becomes its own formatted row. Sometimes the formatting does not carry over.

How can I copy from one sheet and paste in another and guarantee that conditional formatted will carry across?

    Re: Conditional Formatting

Use Copy | Paste Special | Formulas | OK or Copy | Paste Special | Values | OK, both of which will leave the formatting unchanged in the destination sheet.

    Hope this helps.

Problem with that though is sometimes some of the cells in the same row might have their own formatting (like a color or something else), that is independent of the conditional formatting. Copy - Paste Values does not carry that over. I've always wondered how to go about this too.

    Re: Conditional Formatting

The OP said that both sheets are conditionally formatted the same, so there is no need to copy over the formats.
