How to turn many rows of horizontal data into one single vertical column

    Hi All,

I have been manually doing this with the transpose function but I still have to paste each transposed column into a single vertical column and it is taking a very long time. Is there a shortcut for this? Sheet 1 is the original data and Sheet 3 is what I have done manually.

Thanks so much for the help. I have attached the spreadsheet.

    Hello and good morn

your expected results doesn't match with your raw data..I cant see the year column anywhere..and one more thing if you want to transpose the whole one row to column you can do it with Start by selecting and copying your entire data range. Click on a new location in your sheet, then go to Edit | Paste Special and select the Transpose check box, as shown in Figure B. Click OK.

    Regards

Took formulas this far. Adapt for remaining columns.

I inserted duplicate Sample sheet for comparison.

First formula entered in A2 filled down and across to column D.

Adapt the INDEX ranges and the MOD arguments for the remaining columns.

Second formula generates repeating years. Enter in E2 and fill down.

Third formula grabs the sales. In F2 and fill down.

I didn't fill the formulas all the way down. The file would be too large to upload. The range is preselected in the saved file. You should just be able to press and hold Ctrl while hitting D (the keyboard shortcut for fill down.) The formulas will copy down.

    The workbook is attached.
