    Change Table Layout

    Hi Guys,

Newbie here.........Im doing some work in Excel currently, I have a basic table with data and need to convert it to a smaller table on a new tab with the columns changed slightly. I have to do this on around 25 workbooks.

If you guys can help me sort this then I can possibly use a macro to do it each time as all the workbooks are in the same format.

Table 1 needs to be in Table 2 format if that makes sense......

    Hope you can help

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Change Table Layout

    Hi, welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, your pictures aren't clear enough to see what you want. You could try using the macro recorder - first, make a copy of the file (just in case something goes wrong) then go to the Developer tab and on the left-hand side click 'Record a Macro'. Name it whatever you want (something like 'MakeNewTable' will work) then make the changes you want to make, then click 'Stop recording' (it's the same button). Now you should be able to copy the recorded macro to each workbook and it'll do the same thing on each of those.

If you're not sure about doing that, then I suggest you upload an example file here (click 'Go Advanced' under the reply box and use the paperclip icon - make sure you don't include any confidential information) as you're more likely to get useful answers then.
