Vlookup Issue

Hi all,
I have the below table:

1.png

I want that the data in 'Value of Time' and 'Invoiced/Recognised' gets automatically updated from another tab which has the following table?

2.png

I have tried Vlookup and the following: =VLOOKUP($A5,'Report Data'!A:E,COLUMN('Report Data'!E5:E5),FALSE)
However it always takes the first value which is: £1452.50 no matter what I change.
The main issue is that I have multiple tables, and thus a formula that I can paste across every single table would be great.
Thanks all!

Re: Vlookup Issue

Hi, welcome to the forum

However it always takes the first value which is: £1452.50 no matter what I change.
and thats all it ever will do. VLOOKUP finds the 1st match and then stops looking.
Please upload a sample of your workbook, not a picture of your data. Pictures are pretty much impossible to edit, and no-one wants to re-type your data for you
Also, not all members can upload picture files (Company firewalls and stuff) - and, depending on what browser is being used, some pics dont even show up on the forum

Your workbook should show a small desensitized example of the data you are working with and a manual mockup of the expected results.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Hello,
Sorry about posting a picture.
Thank you for your prompt reply, please find the attached excel sample.
Basically I want the data to replicate from the 2nd to table to the 1st in the 'Value of Time' and 'Invoiced/Recognised' tabs only.
The thing is there are over 50 tables like this too.
Thanks!

Re: Vlookup Issue

Thank you! Will that formula work if there are multiple tables as I have more jobs with different job codes thus there are over 50 tables?

Re: Vlookup Issue

With more than 50 separate tables, my immediate thought is NO it won't work. Can all the tables be combined into one table?

A more complete example of what you are really working with would certainly help in giving a more complete and accurate answer. Can you supply that?
