Get External Data in Excel 2013

Hello Guys, this is my first post in this forum.
Up until recently I was retrieving data from another excel s/sheet using 'Get External Data' in Excel 2003.
I am confused by 2013. I cannot see how to create the query that will get this data. I can see icons for retrieving data from Access or the Web or 'Other' but not from another excel sheet.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi, welcome to the forum

You get data from other files exactly the same way you get data from other sheets.
If it is a specific cell...
='[file-name.xlsm]sheet-name'!$A$1
If you need to search for info...
=INDEX('[file-name.xlsm]sheet-name'!$B$2:$B$23,MATCH(B1,'[file-name.xlsm]sheet-name'!$A$2:$A$23,0))
