    Re: Tables!

    Try this.

Make a separate file to store all your names in a Excel Table (Ctrl+T)

Then on the worksheet which you want to import data to, On the Data Tab > Exiting Connections > Browse For More > Select The File

However there are 2 limitations -

    1) I believe this does not work pre 2010 or 2013 (Not Sure) Excel Versions
    2) You cannot edit the master list while any of the other files importing the list are open.

However you might want to give it a try..

    Re: Tables!

Thank you for your reply. I think perhaps I have muddled my requirements - I don't necessarily have the right language as I am a beginner so please bear with me. I am not actually looking to export data from an external file; my name list will be in the same workbook in a "Lookup" tab. I want to be able to amend this list, resulting in multiple tables updating with the name amendments and if possible - including formulas which are already in use in the table.
    Thank you!

    Re: Tables!

Can you attach a sample worobook? Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Yes will do - bear with me as it will take me a little while to desensitize.

    Re: Tables!

    Attached.
Basically, I want all the tables in the "MI" tab to update when I make amendments to the list in column A in the (last)"Lookup" tab. For example, if I add "Staff 9" to column A in the "Lookup" tab, I would like this to reflected in the tables in the "MI" tab, including the formulas that apply for staff 1-8.
    Hope that makes sense?
