Words in cell

I have a new question.
if I want a word to appear in a cell when I enter only center numbers in another cell how would I get that to work.
for example in cell-A6 when a number is entered I want the words "not used" to show up in cell-B7 but this can only show in B7 with certain numbers

Try this....

=IF(A6="your number","Not Used","")

No that didn't work
I put in =IF(P8="your number","not used","")
it leaves the cell blank.
any other suggestions.

Sorry, you need to replace "your number" with your actual number - the number that will trigger the text to show

Hello, that is not exactly what I need. the number I enter will vary and is not the same every time I need to be able to enter a random number 3, 54, or 12 it could vary from 1 to 100. but no matter what number I enter into Cell- A6 I need Cell- B7 to show not used however I may have a small group of numbers like 11,16,23,43 that when enter in cell- A6 will cause cell- B7 to be to have other info show up.

Make a table with numbers and info and then use the VLOOKUP formula
