Hello All,
Cell C22 = 325 (seconds)
Cell C21 should equal =5:25 (5 minutes 25 seconds)
Dividing C22 by 60 seconds = 5.42 but can't figure out despite using all the different time formats in the Number drop down menu to = 5:25
Thank you!
Patrick

Times are stored in Excel as fractions of a day, so you need to convert your time in seconds to a fraction of a day (t/3600/24) or use the TIME() function (https://support.office.com/en-us/art...e-747d0b8d5457 ). Something like this should help you understand how dates and times are stored in Excel. http://www.cpearson.com/Excel/datetime.htm#SerialDates

MrShorty,
Thank you for your input. I tried the formula (time/3600/24) = .00376 then converted it to one of Time formats and it worked! Returning a time of 5:25.
Appreciate your help!
Patrick
MrShorty,
I guess I was premature in this working on all the cells in this sequence. It worked for 2 more cells, one containing 452 seconds, the other 507 seconds but the next one with 533 seconds didn't work? Not sure what went wrong?
Patrick
MrShorty,
Figured out why those other cells didn't work.....the seconds in those cells were estimated derived by formula that was overwritten.
