    Convert time to general number

I want to convert time 04:00 to 400. I have a lot to manually change on a weekly basis and just want to know if theres an easier way.

Re: Convert time to general number

    Hi,

And what should 04:30 (hh:mm) be? 430 or 450? And should it be a number or text?

Perhaps it would help if you tell us what you want to use the 400 for.

how do you want minutes to show up? should 4:30 be 430, or 450?

Re: Convert time to general number

If the time is in A2 you can use this formula in B2

    =TEXT(A2,"hhmm")+0

....or for display purposes only you could custom format your original cells as hmm
    Audere est facere
