Macro error for simple copy and paste macro's

G'day Excel forum

I hope this is a simple one; I'm trying to run a code that will copy the content of a cell into the next blank cell in a given range.

I was able to find a code that should do this here; http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/excel-q...lank-cell.html

To work out this code I generated a spreadsheet with the exact same ranges, used the exact code they used and add a button to run the macro.

Frustratingly I keep getting an error message; "Cannot run the macro 'Book1.xlsm!Button2_Click'. The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled."

As far as I can tell macros are enabled

Am I missing something?

Does anyone have any idea whats going on here? I've been googling for hours with no success...

Hi Matt - there is no macro assigned to the button... Right click on the button and select 'assign macro' - you will see your macro called 'test' listed and can select it.

Wow... I had hoped that was going to be simple, but that was just embarrassingly so, I mean I spent hours on that... I feel like an idiot...
