Date Display Assistance Needed Please

I am trying to figure out a way to format a date/time cell to display a certain way
In A1 I paste data from another application that can be in one of two different formats:
- Oct-24 23:00
- 10/24/2015 11:00:00 PM

Note: I am working in Central Daylight Time

The end result of what I am looking for is a display as seen below
10/24/2015 11:00 PM/CT

Assuming that Excel can recognize the imported data as date and time, as opposed to text, try this Custom Number Format:
