Tried to go back to edit to downsize the pic but this is all that was offered. Sorry. Would delete and redo if I could.

Re: Irr returning really high result.

I got 7,6% with my spreadsheet.

Is there any illegal date stored in A column?

Try to use for instance in A1=DATE(2015,ROW(),1), then copy down?

Re: Irr returning really high result.

In very first post, 1-Jan started from A1? Try to paste the formula in A1, then copy down to A13

If 1-Jan started from other cell, try: =DATE(2015,ROWS($1:1),1) then drag down.

    Format cell as dd-mmm

I'm not sure what you're saying with that =date thing. And when I go to format my dates it does not say "dd-mmm" what's mmm anyway? Three letter month like Fed, Mar, Apr? This is what I have now

It may helps a lot if you could upload a sample worksheet.

It doesn't matter how I format my dates. I've tried all possibilities. Same 45%. Thanks anyway

A13 is 1-Jan-2015, XIRR returns correct result 45,5%

A13 is 1-Jan-2016, XIRR returns correct result 7,6%

    What is your expected result?
