Data Alignment in cell as I enter it - require in centre but goes to left of cell

When I am entering data in a cell, I prefer it in the centre of the cell. Of late it is randomly appearing at the left hand side of the cell as I enter it, it is annoying and not what I require. When I click enter or the mouse, it then goes to the right of the cell, sometimes to the centre. My spreadsheet shows the problem.

Lines 6, 8 & 10 are as normal. Then Lines 12 & 14 do as I have described above.

Lines 16, 18 & 20 go as required then lines 22 & 24 go awry by aligning initially to the left as the cell is live and to the right when I click Enter or the mouse.


I can't find the default option to fix the alignment and it is very frustrating.

By default, when entering numeric values, they align to the right. If you want them to align center (or left), change the alignment from the HOME Menu under "Alignment". You can choose the whole column, and then select the icon that shows alignment to the middle. When you do that, anything you enter in that column will align to the center.
