Just wondering if it is possible to create a file on a PC and then transfer it to a MAC?
Can I transfer data only or does formatting and macros transfer as well?

Not sure about macros, but there should not be a problem opening a pc-based exel file in Mac

Yes you can. I have created a macro enabled PC excel workbook and transferred it to my home iMac.
Make contributors happy, click on the "* Add Reputation" as a way to say thank you.
