Okay so I'm making an excel sheet that will allow me to calculate the reverb time of a room based on multiple materials on the floor, ceiling, walls etc.
At the moment, the I have a table where the user inputs the material (e.g. 'wood', or 'concrete') allowing for 10 separate materials. For each of material the user would input 5 different 'absorption coefficients', or different values (based on frequency).
So the user will input the name of the material here followed by 5 values in the same column. This is repeated 10 times, for 10 different materials.
On a separate table, I have 20 different surface areas which will use these values from different materials mentioned, in the previous table.
Okay, so what I would like the spreadsheet to do is have a drop down list for each of the 20 surface areas, which shows the 10 separate materials in the list.
From this, for each of the 20 surface areas, the 5 different values (or 'absorption coefficients') for each material would automatically appear below (from previous table).
I know it's a lot to get your head around (is for me at least), but if some genius could answer me this, I'd be so grateful!
Many thanks in advance.
Cheers
